Jim received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.
He has served in positions in the US Air Force, including Assistant
Chief Scientist at the Air Force Systems Command. He was a program
manager for applied and computational mathematics at the Defense
Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and served as the directorate
head for Mathematics and Information Sciences at the Air Force
Office of Scientific Research. He was also a tenured associate
professor at the US Air Force Academy.
Chief Operating Officer
Susan is a Certified Public Accountant who received her Bachelor
of Science in Accounting from Villanova University. She began her
career as a senior auditor at the firm of Main Hurdman. From
there she went to the Academy of Natural Sciences, first as Controller
and then as Vice President of Finance and Administration. In
1999 she became SIAM’s Director of Finance and Administration. Susan
is responsible for customer service, facility
management, personnel and legal matters. She provides general
oversight of all budgetary and financial matters of the Society.
Bill has a PhD in mathematics from the University of Maryland.
Before becoming SIAM's Technical Director, he was a faculty member
in mathematics at The American University in Washington DC, a systems
engineer and manager at Stanford Telecommunications (now part of
ITT) and a Member of the Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories in
Holmdel, NJ. He is a consultant to SIAM staff on issues in applied
mathematics and computation, develops SIAM funding proposals, and
manages special funded projects.

Annie provides administrative oversight to the Board of Trustees, Council and Officers of SIAM. Prior to joining SIAM, Annie worked in Marketing at Calico Corners in Kennett Square, PA and Clinical Research at The University of Pennsylvania. Her experience includes public relations, project coordination, copy writing and editing, and media management. She graduated from The University of Rochester with a Dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Film & Media Studies.
