Student Travel Support

New Deadline: April 10, 2009

Any full-time student in good standing is eligible to receive an award. Top priority will be given to students presenting papers at the meeting, with second priority to students who are co-authors of papers to be presented at the meeting. Only students traveling more than 100 miles (160 km) to the meeting are eligible for an award.

An application for a travel award must include:

1. A letter from the student describing his or her academic standing and interests, expected graduation date and degree, advisor's name, and, if available, a URL for a working Web page. Further, the letter should include the titles of any papers and posters to be presented by the student at the meeting, and the titles of any presented papers that are co-authored by the student.

2. A one-page vita that includes the student's research interests, projects, and papers published.

3. A detailed letter from the student's faculty advisor indicating why the student is deserving of receiving a travel award and any special circumstances.

Award amounts: up to 500 Euro within Europe and up to 1000 Euro outside.

Full applications are due by January 15, 2009 and students will be notified of the awards by February 25, 2009.
