Call for Nominations

Germund Dahlquist Prize

The Dahlquist Prize will be awarded at the 2009 International Conference on Scientific Computation and Differential Equations (SciCADE09), to be held May 25 - 29, 2009, in Beijing, China.

The Germund Dahlquist Prize is awarded to a young scientist (normally under 45) for original contributions to fields associated with Germund Dahlquist, especially the numerical solution of differential equations and numerical methods for scientific computing.

Description of the Award

The award consists of a certificate and a cash award of $1000. The recipient is expected to give a lecture at the meeting. SIAM will reimburse the recipient's travel expenses to attend the meeting and deliver the lecture.
