The Office of Science Occasional Papers: The Occasional Papers are brief topical papers that represent just a sampling of the exciting and diverse research sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science. The Office of Science leads the Nation in many areas of the physical sciences and makes significant contributions in other major scientific fields, including life sciences and advanced computing and mathematics.
CRA Government Affairs: contains advocacy resources and action alerts, covering the areas of computer science and computing. SIAM is a member of the CRA.
The Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF): SIAM is a member of this organization. Its goal is increasing the national investment in The US National Science Foundation's research and education programs.
Board on Mathematical Sciences (BMS): BMS is a board under the National Research Council (NRC). Its mission is to support and promote the quality and health of the mathematical sciences and their benefits to the nation.
The Council of Scientific Society Presidents (CSSP): SIAM is a member of this organization. CSSP has been actively involved in shaping national policies in the science. CSSP regularly issues policy statements. Their Legislative Action Center contains aids to help contact your representative, along with House and Senate schedules.
IEEE*USA: contains new items related to public policy.
IEEE*USA Public Policy: contains action items and lists of available reports.
USACM Public Policy: focuses on public policy related to information technology.
AAAS R&D Budget and Policy Program: a terrific resource for information on the US federal R&D budgets. The AAAS annually does extensive reports and analysis on the budget.
American Physical Society (APS): contains policy statements of the APS and alerts to scientists, focusing on science funding issues. Also contains advice on how to communicate with one's congressional representative.
National Coordinating Office for Information Technology R&D: This office includes oversight of federal funding of what was referred to as HPCC.
