Additional Information
How to Participate
An ALENEX submission should be original work that has not been published (or is under review) in other peer-reviewed conferences or journals. Reviewing will be double-blind. Authors must take reasonable measures to prevent their identities from being easily deduced from the submission (e.g., no author names, no obvious self-citations). Upon registering a submission, the authors will declare conflicts of interest with PC members. Submissions co-authored by PC members are allowed but will be held to a higher standard than other submissions.
Submissions must be registered by August 12, 2020. EasyChair metadata (title, list of authors and abstract) are required by this date in order for a full paper to be considered. Full paper submissions are due by August 19, 2020, and notifications will be emailed in October 2020.
Submissions must be in PDF, formatted using the macro posted here. In particular, papers should begin with one page containing the title and abstract, followed by at most 10 pages of the body of the paper, followed by references and an optional appendix. Content in the appendix will be read at the discretion of the reviewers.
Authors of accepted papers are strongly encouraged to submit publicly available code and data to the ACM Journal of Experimental Algorithmics Research Code Repository.
Authors will be notified of the decision on their submission by email in early October 2020. A list of accepted papers will be posted at this time.
The Program Committee will also provide final paper submission instructions to authors of accepted papers in early October 2020. Final papers may not exceed fifteen (15) pages in double column format.
Speaker Cancellation
The Conference Organizing Committee expects every speaker in a scheduled presentation to register and attend the conference.
If it becomes necessary for a speaker to cancel a presentation, he or she should try to find an alternate presenter immediately, preferably a co-author. Contact SIAM immediately with any change to a scheduled presentation.
A “no-show” or cancelled presentation can cause serious inconvenience to the attendees and conference organizers. The committee thanks all speakers in advance for their compliance to this request.
Paper Presenters
The Program Committee expects every speaker of a scheduled presentation to pre-register and attend the symposium. Each speaker will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation.
